About Jenny

I am Jenny and I have been tutoring students from KS1-KS3 over the past 10 years. I have a particular love of helping my students feel confident in achieving their goals whether that be preparing for an exam, increasing our maths and English levels or getting ahead of the curriculum. I have worked with hundreds of students and I am so pleased with what we have achieved - I can't wait to meet more students and help them achieve their targets!

About the lesson

Our lessons have a clear structure that start with a warm-up and discussion of our aims, before going on to the main focus of the sessions and ending with a recap/homework. I design an individual 'syllabus' for my students to follow which reflects their goals and outcomes. Lessons typically last 1 hour. I own a tuition centre which opened in 2014 and have 10 years' experience in tutoring children from KS1 - KS3 in maths/English. I also have 10 years' experience in entrance exam preparation for 11+/13+ for both independent and grammar schools. Exams include GL/CAT4/ISEB/UKiset/verbal and non-verbal reasoning.

I signed my children up to be tutored by Jenny because they were falling a little behind on the expected standard for their age.

Not only did they reach the expected standard, my daughter actually surpassed them.

When you hire a tutor, you hope they will improve your child’s performance at school, but I didn’t expect my children to have such a strong relationship with their tutor. Jenny was extremely motivational and improved my children’s confidence, which was a result we didn’t expect.

I would recommend Jenny in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!

Jenny is a wonderfully engaging tutor who has been teaching both of my boys of the past 4 years. She successfully helped my eldest pass his entrance exam and is currently helping my youngest prepare for his. Jenny is excellent at adapting her lessons and teaching styles depending on the students and both of my boys thoroughly enjoy their sessions with her. Highly recommend!

Jenny taught my daughter for 2 years in the run up to her 11+ exams. Her lessons are well prepared and tailored towards our needs. She instilled confidence and gave detailed feedback after each sessions. We will appreciate the support Jenny provided as our daughter successfully got into the her chosen Manchester grammar schools.
