About Jamie
I am super passionate about Maths and Physics and want to help students understand and enjoy them, as well as simply improving at them for exams.
I believe that approaching Maths and Physics as the interesting, logical and creative subjects they are is critical to performing well in exams. I believe that an enjoyment and deeper understanding of Maths and Physics also makes learning ever more advanced concepts as well as revision much easier than simply memorising facts and step by step methods.
I have a masters in Physics from the University of Oxford and at A-level I studied Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science achieving A*'s in them all.

Lessons will involve going through topics you find challenging through exerscises and a wide range of practice exam questions. We will cover, not only methods that can be used to solve them, but also why methods work and how you could come up with them yourself. The goal will be to ensure you have a deeper understanding of the underlying concepts which is especially critical for harder questions which diverge from the more predictable standard questions.
Lessons can cover Maths, Further Maths, and Physics GCSE's and A-Level's and university admissions tests and interviews.
Lessons will typically be 1-2hours (up to you!) and I may ask you to do some practice questions between lessons, so that lesson time is more effectively used.

Jamie is an incredible teacher and friend, without whom I would not have made it through A level maths and further maths. He is incredibly knowledgeable, beyond the scope of most courses, and his passion for physics is infectious. I would highly recommend him as a tutor.
Jamie supported me with my GCSE physics in the months leading to my exams. He was a massive help and was able to explain the content in ways that I could understand, especially as I have a more visual learning style. He is very polite and supportive, and never made me feel like I couldn't understand the content.
