About Emma
Hi, I’m Emma, a fifth-year medical student at the University of Oxford with over seven years of tutoring experience. Having been through the medical school application process myself, I know how challenging it can feel. My aim is to make it as clear, structured, and rewarding as possible. I’m patient, friendly, and genuinely enjoy teaching. I find lessons most rewarding when students can see the results of their hard work and feel proud of their progress. I believe learning is most effective when it’s engaging and personalised, so I always take time to understand each student’s strengths, goals, and learning style.

Hi! I’m a fifth-year medical student at Oxford, and I offer tailored medicine interview preparation designed to help you think more clearly and feel more confident. In our first session, I take time to understand what you’d like to focus on, whether that’s scientific reasoning, ethical scenarios, problem-solving, or communication skills. I base my teaching style on the Oxford tutorial system to encourage discussion and it is focused on how you think, not just what you know. We’ll work through real and mock interview questions together, breaking down your thought process and building strategies that help you answer naturally under pressure. Each lesson typically lasts 60 minutes, though I’m flexible depending on your needs. These sessions are ideal for students preparing for medicine interviews (Oxford, Cambridge, or other UK medical schools), as well as anyone looking to build confidence in academic discussion and analytical thinking.
