In English Literature, I immerse students in the texts, fostering a love for literature while honing their exam techniques—an essential aspect of every student's journey. With extensive experience in IGCSE Cambridge exams, I bring unique insight as a former IGCSE Cambridge examiner for both Language and A-Level Literature, as well as an A-Level Literature examiner for AQA. This background equips me with a deep understanding of the precise exam techniques and expectations from examiners.
For English Language, my approach centers on mastering the techniques required by the exam board. I teach students to decode texts, read efficiently, and respond effectively, ensuring they meet the examiners' criteria with confidence. As a qualified English teacher with a PGCE, and 9 years of teaching experience, including 7 years in the UK, I am well-prepared to teach students aged 11-18. My lessons are typically 45mins - 1 hour long, providing ample time to cover content thoroughly while keeping students engaged.
