About Martha

Hello and welcome! I’m an Oxford-trained maths teacher with over four years of tutoring and teaching experience, supporting students of all abilities to build confidence, improve performance and enjoy mathematics.

About the lesson

I specialise in GCSE and iGCSE (all major exam boards). Most recently, I’ve supported students preparing for UK boarding school entrance exams and the IB MYP (Middle Years Programme), helping them develop strong mathematical foundations, problem-solving skills, and exam confidence.

My sessions are structured yet relaxed, designed to be both supportive and appropriately challenging. Each lesson is carefully planned around a clear learning goal which I select and prepare targeted resources for, and during the lesson we work through them together on a collaborative whiteboard. This allows me to see your child’s thought process in real time, address misconceptions immediately, and model clear, confident methods step by step.

With my guidance, students can expect to:
