I take a practical, conversational approach to teaching Mandarin, focusing on helping students quickly build the confidence to communicate in real-life situations. My methodology combines interactive lessons, immersive practice, and real-world examples to make learning engaging and relatable. I use a mix of speaking, listening, reading, and writing exercises, ensuring students understand both the language and cultural nuances.
Each lesson typically lasts about 45-60 minutes, though I can tailor lesson lengths depending on the student’s schedule and learning needs.
With over eight years of experience as a professional designer, I’m well-versed in communication and understand how language bridges cultural gaps. While I’m new to formal tutoring, my experience in working with international teams and explaining complex ideas in simple terms helps me guide learners effectively. I bring a creative, fun, and approachable teaching style to my lessons.
I offer lessons to English-speaking students of all levels—from beginners just starting out, to intermediate learners wanting to refine their Mandarin. My lessons are suitable for adults, teens who are looking to improve their communication skills, whether for personal interest, travel, business, or cultural enrichment.
