About Karla
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Journalism with a minor in Political Science, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA). My educational background has provided me with a strong foundation in English composition, academic research, creative writing, critical thinking, literary analysis, and professional communication.
Throughout my academic and professional career, I have developed exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills. My experience includes preparing professional correspondence, analyzing complex information, conducting research, and communicating effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
As a tutor, I am committed to providing a professional, patient, supportive, and welcoming learning environment. I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I tailor my lessons to accommodate individual learning styles, abilities, and goals.
Whether you are a Spanish speaker learning English, a student seeking to improve your academic writing, or someone interested in strengthening your creative writing and literary comprehension, I am dedicated to helping you build confidence, develop your abilities, and achieve meaningful progress.
My goal is not only to help students improve their English skills but also to encourage independent thinking, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for language and literature.

My English lessons are personalized, engaging, and designed to help students build confidence in their reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills. I specialize in teaching English to Spanish-speaking students, helping them improve their grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational fluency.
With a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Journalism and an MBA, I bring strong writing, communication, and analytical skills to every lesson. I offer guidance in academic and professional writing, essay development, proofreading, editing, creative writing, and proper grammar and sentence structure.
I also help students explore and understand literature through reading comprehension, literary analysis, interpretation, and critical thinking. Whether you’re learning English as a second language, improving your writing skills, preparing for college, or developing your creative voice, I tailor each lesson to your individual goals, learning style, and experience level.
My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, expressing their ideas, and developing the skills they need to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.
