About Emmett
With 14+ years of professional teaching experience, I am a dedicated Saxophone tutor who has guided approximately 150 students through their musical journey. I teach students of all levels and aim to make learning the saxophone clear, enjoyable, and rewarding.
My tutoring style is structured, patient, and adaptable. I design lesson plans that suit individual learning needs while ensuring consistent improvement. I believe a supportive learning environment helps students stay motivated and confident.
I place strong emphasis on saxophone basics such as embouchure, breath support, tone quality, posture, finger technique, and timing. As students advance, I help them develop musical interpretation, phrasing, and improvisation skills.
In addition to performance training, I teach music theory, sight-reading, and rhythm studies. My goal is to help students grow into confident musicians who enjoy expressing themselves through the saxophone.

I teach Saxophone using a structured, student-focused approach guided by Communication, Accountability, and Integrity. I first assess each student’s level and musical goals to design personalized lessons. I focus on breath control, tone clarity, articulation precision, finger coordination, and rhythm accuracy.
Open communication encourages students to ask questions and build confidence. Weekly practice assignments and measurable targets maintain accountability and steady progress. I monitor improvement carefully and adjust lessons as needed. Integrity ensures honest guidance and professional instruction. Along with Saxophone, I also teach Music Theory, Jazz fundamentals, Harmony concepts, and Performance preparation.
