About Mary
I am currently a senior at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I am going to be attending the UMKC School of Dentistry in the Fall of 2025. I love to listen to music, make people laugh, and give back to my community.
I enjoy teaching students of all ages! I was the highest attended supplemental instructor in the program when I taught general chemistry 1. I was also a swim instructor where I helped students overcome personal fears and succeed in their goals.
Student engagement and skill enhancement beyond the classroom is where I thrive. I want to not only be your tutor, but build a friendship that can help get you excited about science!
Let's do this!

As an experienced tutor of STEM subjects, I know how to apply different learning strategies to all students to help foster a deeper understanding of difficult subjects.
My lesson plans are always evolving but tend to follow a schedule that begins with an introduction and clear goal setting, followed by concept exploration and practical application activities. Ending with discussion and homework review will BOOST your confidence in the classroom and on exams.
I offer customized experiences for each student and ensure quality engagement and support. If you're here, you deserve the best!
