About Alex
Greetings! I'm Alex, your dedicated teacher. With a background in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a passion for nurturing technical proficiency and life skills, I offer a unique learning experience. I focus a lot on problem-solving and analytical thinking through the fascinating interplay of coding, math, and chess which creates a strong, complementary learning experience - each one strengthens the other! Last but not least, I enjoy working with kids! I create a friendly environment and always try to connect with them. Over my 5+ years of teaching, I've had students make great progress. I am really happy to witness their progress and their creative coding projects. One of my proudest moments was seeing a student reach a 2000+ chess rating, beat master-level players, and win local tournaments!

Looking for a fun - productive activity for your child?
Coding is the perfect fit!
In our coding lessons, we keep things simple yet engaging. Kids explore the basics through interactive games like CodeMonkey and get hands-on with creative coding using Scratch. It's not just about the code; it's about embracing challenges with confidence.
As we progress into Python, we make learning the syntax fun with personalized exercises. Plus, we throw in some math challenges for good measure. It's a balanced approach that really yields amazing results.
Excited to witness your child grow? Lets do this together!

Alex is a very talented teacher with great communication skills and emotional intelligence. He understands exactly what the student needs and works on that while keeping the student active , encouraged and passionate.
Alex is an amazing chess tutor! He has a gift for teaching the game in a way that allows his students to develop their own intuition for the game. He really takes the time to explain things in a way that makes sense. I have much from him and I am a better player because of it.
I have been working with Alex for the past year and it has been great! He is responsible and all the students really enjoyed his lesson
