About Nicole
As a new Forensic RN with a background in neuro/stroke bedside nursing (from medsurg to ICU), I have a passion for teaching new nurses. Nurturing vs "eating the young," has been a healthier method that I've learned improves patient care and outcomes over time. I had 8 preceptors as a new grad nurse, and it was overwhelming chaos. I have my BSN from Marian University - Indianapolis and my Master in Health Leadership (MHL) from WGU. I am certified in stroke and medical-surgical nursing with continuing education plans. I take any opportunity to teach new nurses, patient care techs, coworkers in school, and even my patients and families. I find satisfaction when someone has that moment when everything clicks or realizes something they've struggled to understand.

I have a basis that I start with for each student but I personally know that it doesn't work like that for everyone. Our first session covers a lot of material and concentrates on study planning. I work with each student individually to determine the best study plan for them. I fully believe in practice, practice, and more practice! I do one-on-one sessions with nursing students and those preparing to test NCLEX.
