About Mercy
Hello! My name is Mercy, and I am a qualified educator with a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education, and a Master's degree in Education. I have experience supporting students in both a secondary school and a sixth form college, with a particular focus on GCSE Mathematics.
I believe every student can succeed in Mathematics with the right guidance, encouragement, and teaching approach. My lessons are patient, well-structured, and tailored to each student's individual needs, helping them build confidence while strengthening their understanding of mathematical concepts.
I am committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves. Whether a student is aiming to improve their confidence, raise their GCSE grade, or prepare for examinations, I work closely with them to help them achieve their goals.

I offer personalised GCSE Mathematics lessons designed to suit each student's learning style, ability, and goals. I hold a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education, and a Master's degree in Education. My experience supporting students in both a secondary school and a sixth form college has enabled me to explain mathematical concepts clearly, build confidence, and help students make steady progress.
My teaching approach is patient, structured, and interactive. I break complex topics into simple, manageable steps, use worked examples to develop understanding, and provide plenty of guided practice before encouraging students to solve problems independently. I also focus on exam techniques, helping students improve their accuracy, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if required. Each lesson includes a review of previous learning, introduction of new concepts, guided practice, independent questions, and a recap to reinforce understanding.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE Mathematics students of all abilities, whether they need support with difficult topics, wish to improve their grades, or are aiming for top marks. I am committed to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where every student can reach their full potential.
