About Eric
Hi, I’m Eric, and I bring over 25 years of real-world engineering experience to every class I teach. As a professional hardware engineer, I’ve worked on projects for organizations like NASA, Ericsson, and Lockheed Martin, and now I’m passionate about sharing that knowledge with new learners—especially those just beginning their journey in 3D design and digital modeling. My classes are welcoming, hands-on, and focused on helping students learn by doing. I use FreeCAD, a powerful and free open-source design tool, to teach essential skills like sketching, modeling, and preparing files for 3D printing. Whether students are curious about engineering, want to build their own inventions, or just love creating, I’m here to guide them every step of the way. What sets me apart is not just my technical background, but my ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, patient, and encouraging way. I love seeing students go from “I’ve never done this before” to proudly showing off something they designed themselves.
