About Hammad

I am a senior data engineer with 11 years of professional Python experience in fintech and health-tech, and I spent 2 years as a teaching assistant for an introductory Python course at university. I have 5+ years of hands-on AI and machine learning experience at work and 2+ years of teaching AI specifically, and I hold relevant AI certifications. One of my projects was a FastAPI service running a fraud-detection model in production. Students book me as an AI tutor, instructor and mentor for machine learning and the math behind it as well as data science with pandas and NumPy, in one-on-one lessons online or in person in Greensboro, NC.

I have been tutoring for more than 6 years. Over those years, many of my students have earned excellent grades, and others have started their first job in tech. I hold an MSc in Computer Science (machine learning track), a BSc in Applied Mathematics and the PCAP, PCPP1 and AWS Certified Developer – Associate certifications. My lessons are calm and precise, and I always explain why, not just how.

About the lesson

In production, I built a FastAPI service that ran a fraud-detection model. An AI model is only useful if you understand what it learned and when it fails, and that is how I teach AI.

My method is the Predict-Run-Build loop. Before any code runs, you predict the output. We run it and explain any surprise. Then you build the next step yourself, on your own model, project or assignment.

Each 60-minute lesson follows the same rhythm. The first five minutes are for your goals and questions. Then we review homework and do one predict-the-output warm-up. From minute 15 to 30, I introduce a new model or idea and code it live. The next 20 minutes are yours at the keyboard, on your own model, project or assignment. A short quiz follows, and the last five minutes cover the recap and homework. Written notes and the code arrive after the lesson.

I teach software developers and Python programmers building with AI; professionals who want to use AI tools at work; and career changers and job seekers moving into AI and data roles. I hold relevant AI certifications, along with the PCAP and PCPP1 Python certifications and the AWS Certified Developer – Associate, so what I teach is checked against professional standards.
