About Clare
I am a passionate violin tutor with 3 years of teaching experience and a track record of teaching around 150 students successfully. I provide violin lessons to learners of all levels and ages, helping each student grow in skill and musical understanding.
My tutoring approach is clear, encouraging, and flexible. I focus on technical fundamentals including posture, bow grip, finger placement, rhythm, and tone production. I create lessons tailored to each student’s goals and learning style.
I believe music should be both fun and motivating. I encourage regular practice and teach students how to structure their practice sessions effectively. I also celebrate each achievement, helping students stay confident and motivated.
One of my unique strengths is my patience and ability to break down difficult techniques into simple, practical steps. I also emphasize musical expression alongside technical accuracy.
Along with violin instruction, I teach music theory, sight-reading, scales, and ear training. I help students prepare for exams, competitions, and performances. My aim is to nurture confident, disciplined, and passionate violin players.

Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons to the student’s progress, goals, and interests, ensuring learning stays engaging. Collaboration is important—I involve students in selecting repertoire, setting targets, and exploring new techniques, helping them take ownership of their learning.
Positivity drives every session, building confidence and a love for music. Along with violin, I teach related subjects like music theory, ear training, and performance skills, helping students develop a well-rounded musical foundation. My goal is to nurture creativity, skill, and a lifelong passion for music.
