About John
My name is John, and I’m a senior studying civil engineering at Penn State. My coursework has given me a strong foundation in algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. I’ve also worked as a construction intern where I’ve seen how math applies to real projects.
As a student myself, I understand how frustrating it can be to struggle with a topic. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and taking the time they need to learn. My goal is to help you understand the material and feel more confident solving problems.

My lessons focus on breaking math problems down into simple steps so you understand how to solve them and why each step works. We’ll start with what you’re struggling with, work through examples together, and then have you try problems on your own with my guidance.
As a civil engineering student at Penn State, I use math regularly and know how frustrating it can be when an explanation doesn’t make sense.
