This elementary math lesson introduces students to basic addition and subtraction through a fun, story-based approach involving a picnic scenario. Students learn to add and subtract within 20 using objects, drawings, and word problems. By using familiar items like fruits and counters, the lesson helps children understand the concepts of combining and taking away in a hands-on, engaging way. Interactive activities and questions encourage participation, while simple problems reinforce understanding and build confidence in early math skills.
