About Derek

I am currently a college instructor and adjunct faculty at several schools. I recently graduated from the University of California at Riverside with a PhD in mathematics. My passion is sharing the delights of math with those eager to learn. I like to break down the barriers that make math seem inaccessible, and to show that it can be an intuitive problem-solving language.

About the lesson

I offer interactive, remote tutoring sessions. These lessons are for any high school or college math students. We will go over concepts and practice problems in the specific areas of difficulty identified by myself and my student. These sessions are student-led and cover requested areas as well as any related material.
