About Zohar
I have an Engineering Mathematics PhD from the University of Bristol, and have over 10 years of experience teaching maths, programming and physics from GCSE up to University-level courses, both in 1:1 lessons and in groups. I am dedicated to maintaining high-quality standards in a supportive environment. I believe that a positive and constructive attitude is best for promoting learning, and have a proven track record of helping my students increase their grades while having fun doing it! I am DBS checked and available for in-person and online tutoring.

My lessons are for students of all levels and ages, from GCSE up to advanced University level. I tailor the lesson content, pace and teaching approach to the needs of each individual student. As well as focusing on learning theory and practising questions, I also like to focus on developing exam technique and teaching wider problem-solving methods. I keep lessons to 1 hour in length so that my students can stay focused throughout.

Zohar is such a fantastic tutor, I couldnt recommend him highly enough!!
His approach is really open and practical, I feel like he really cared to make sure I understood the work we went through, he had multiple ways of explaining things to me including visual aids, and he created practice questions for me to make sure I could really apply certain rules to different data sets. He has really improved my confidence with the mathematical elements to my degree - I’ve never felt very capable with maths, but now I do!! I will 100% be reaching out to Zohar again next year for more support!
