About Michael
I bring over 16 years of Math and Physics tutoring experience to learners at every stage, from elementary fundamentals to college-level coursework, empowering them to build confidence and master the material.
I graduated with honors from the Physics Department of Novosibirsk State University. For 12 years, I worked as a Senior Research Fellow at a research institute—so I know the life of a scientist firsthand and understand exactly what I’m preparing my students for! My academic background is in Chemical Physics, and I earned my PhD in Physics in 2020. I have been a Physics teacher since 2009 and am currently a Senior Lecturer at the Physics and Mathematics School of SUNTS NSU (Novosibirsk Akademgorodok, Russia).
I regularly support students in college-level courses, including Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Electrodynamics, Physical Chemistry/Chemical Physics, Calculus and Pre-Calculus, and Trigonometry.
I know how to spark genuine interest in the subject by sharing interesting facts, real-world events, and practical applications within the context of each lesson. I believe that establishing a lively personal connection with students is essential for effective learning. I build trusting, friendly relationships, and the atmosphere in my lessons is always comfortable and welcoming.
My key goal is to reveal underlying patterns and teach students to build logical conclusions independently while seeing the connections between phenomena. In my classes, students don't just memorize formulas—they learn to feel and truly understand them.
Convenient Format: All lessons are held online using an interactive whiteboard.
First Lesson is Free! Duration: about 20–30 minutes. We’ll get to know each other, assess your current level, discuss your goals, and outline a preparation plan.

My teaching is fully tailored to your individual needs. Every lesson is personalised to your level and the challenges you face right now: homework, exams, or that one concept that just won't click.
A typical lesson includes:
- Detailed explanation of fundamental concepts.
- Practical application through solving standard and non‑standard problems.
- Error analysis and development of effective time‑management strategies for exams.
The core objective is to build durable problem‑solving skills, not short‑term memorisation. Lessons aim to overcome psychological barriers and boost academic performance. I combine patience with a high standard for comprehension.
All instruction is delivered online, with schedules arranged individually. A preliminary chat or message exchange is welcome to assess goals and ensure a productive fit.

I've known Mikhail for over six years. For four of those years, we trained in martial arts together, often working as partners, preparing for exams, and helping each other improve.
What always stood out to me about Mikhail is his ability to notice small but important details and explain them clearly and patiently. During training, we constantly helped each other analyse mistakes: incorrect weight distribution, the wrong sequence of movements, dropping your hands at the wrong moment. Mikhail is very good at breaking something complex down into understandable steps, and he usually manages to add some humour along the way.
I see the same quality in the way he teaches physics. Mikhail runs a Telegram channel where he regularly publishes challenging, often olympiad-level and research-oriented physics problems, followed by detailed explanations. I'm far from being a physicist myself, yet I genuinely enjoy reading them. Instead of simply showing the formulas and the answer, he explains the reasoning and the nature of the phenomena involved, so even I can usually follow why something works the way it does.
Mikhail currently prepares students for physics olympiads and continuously develops his own teaching skills through professional courses and specialised training programs.
I would gladly recommend Mikhail to students who want not just to solve physics problems, but to really understand the ideas behind them.
We lived in the same science city and met through mountain hiking trips. Mountain trips always show a person’s true colors, and Michael proved to be an incredibly reliable partner who never gives up or slacks off. He is a brilliant guy to talk to—smart, funny, and deeply honest. Even though physics is not my field, I always loved listening to Michael talk about his research with MRI and microwave tech. He is a true man of science, and his passion is completely contagious. I highly recommend Michael because he is an amazing person who can genuinely open up the wonderful world of science for any student.
I've known Michael for years - first as my mentor, then as a fellow professional, and I've had many opportunities to observe his teaching both in formal settings and informal discussions.
What I like about his teaching: he makes students feel comfortable, always reminds them that mistakes are okay and part of learning, and that really helps to relax. He uses clear analogies in his lessons and runs hands-on experiments, so students see physics in action, not just in formulas.
I've seen his lessons, and what stands out is how patiently he guides students, never rushing to give the answer. He motivates them to think for themselves. Michael doesn't just teach theory. He makes physics alive and gives students the confidence to figure things out on their own.I highly recommend Michael as a physics tutor. He has a remarkable ability to explain even the most challenging concepts in a way that is clear, logical, and easy to understand. He is patient, encouraging, and always takes the time to make sure his students truly grasp the material rather than just memorize it.
