About Anahita
I am a PhD-qualified textile engineer from Deakin University with extensive experience in textile science, textile characterization, fabric performance, colouration, and sustainable materials. I also work in the textile industry developing sustainable technologies, which gives me strong practical expertise alongside academic knowledge.
My background includes fabric technology, fibre and yarn science, dyeing with dyes and pigments, pigment and reactive printing, colour fastness analysis, and the chemistry behind textile colouration. I have also worked on textile finishing processes, including antibacterial and antimicrobial treatments used in biomedical and protective textiles.
Having taught and supervised university students in textile science, materials engineering, and sustainable fashion technologies, I enjoy helping learners understand the materials behind their designs and projects. My teaching style is clear, supportive, and tailored to each student’s goals. I specialise in explaining complex scientific concepts in a simple and practical way that students can apply immediately.

My lessons make textile science and fashion materials accessible through visual explanations, structured teaching, and real-world examples. I offer 60-minute personalised online sessions designed to match each student’s level, from beginner to university or industry learners.
I teach fashion design theory, fabric selection, textile characterization, sustainable fashion, fibre and yarn structures, and advanced fabric technology. I also specialise in colouration processes—including dyes, pigments, preparation steps, fixation methods, colour fastness, and sustainable dyeing. Students can learn the fundamentals of fabric printing, including screen printing and digital printing theory.
In addition, I teach textile finishing processes such as antibacterial finishes, moisture management, functional coatings, and treatments commonly used in biomedical and performance textiles.
Whether you are working on a fashion portfolio, a textile engineering assignment, or simply want to understand fabrics better, I provide clear, practical guidance that builds confidence and skill. Every lesson is supportive, professional, and tailored to your goals.
