About Yan

I am currently a PhD student at Massey University, majoring in the social sciences.

I’m a native Chinese speaker and a huge language enthusiast. Besides Chinese, I can speak English, Russian, and a little Japanese. Because of this, I have quite a lot of experience with language learning myself. My long-term dream is to become a polyglot someday.

I’m also a pretty typical nerd — I’ve dedicated most of my life to studying, reading, and learning new things.

About the lesson

Are you tired of boring, traditional language learning methods? Well, me too.

Let’s just chat like friends! We can talk about anything you’re interested in while improving your Chinese naturally and comfortably.

Of course, I’ll still correct your Chinese when needed, and maybe even give you some homework like a real teacher (only if you want).

Anyway, feel free to contact me anytime!
