About Arianna
I am a philosophy graduate who has been giving lessons since I was at school myself. In all I have taught 40+ pupils in English, Maths, and Physics - all subjects I have studied at University. I have helped many students achieve the highers that got them to their university of choice. However, I also have a particular interest in teaching students with learning difficulties, and developing the skills that will make them as competitive as their peers academically.

I have two aims when I teach. The first is to help a student in their understanding of a particular topic, subject, or passage in a book - the short term aim. The second is to help the student figure out how they can learn for themselves - the long term aim. Every student is different, so cultivating their own confidence in asking questions and probing at what they don't understand (yet) is important in achieving either aim. I am patient, and will explain a concept every which way I can think of until my student gets it.
