Does your child struggle with reading, spelling or writing? Have they lost confidence in the classroom or need extra support to keep up with their peers?
I'm here to help.
I offer private, one-on-one literacy tutoring for students in primary and secondary school from my warm home learning studio in Melbourne's southeast suburbs. I also provide online tutoring sessions if required, making quality literacy support accessible wherever you are.
As a qualified Literacy Intervention Officer trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach and currently working full-time in a Victorian primary school; I understand the challenges many students face and how to provide the targeted support they need to succeed. My teaching aligns with the Victorian Curriculum while focusing on building strong literacy foundations that last a lifetime.
I have extensive experience supporting students with:
* Dyslexia
* Dysgraphia
* ADHD
* PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance)
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* Trauma-related learning needs
Every child learns differently, which is why no two lessons are the same. I carefully assess each student's strengths and areas of need before creating personalized lessons designed to fill learning gaps, build confidence, and celebrate every success along the way.
My tutoring incorporates the Barton Reading & Spelling System together with IMSE (Institute for Multi-Sensory Education) instructional practices. These evidence-based, structured literacy approaches use explicit, multisensory teaching to help students strengthen reading, spelling and writing skills while improving long-term retention.
Parents often tell me the greatest change they see isn't just improved literacy skills—it's their child's growing confidence, willingness to read, and enjoyment of learning.
To keep you informed, I provide regular progress reports outlining your child's achievements, areas for continued growth, and practical strategies you can use at home to support their learning between sessions.
