About Malcolm
I am a 3rd year Physics and Astro Physics student at UCT. Went to Wynberg Boys High School where I got an A aggregate for matric while doing 9 subjects including AP maths and AP English as well as being deputy Head Boy and Service Prefect during 2019. I've tutored younger students during high school in maths based subjects and have a passion for teaching others.

I believe in students and tutors working as one to ensure that nothing is left misunderstood. I'm very patient and detailed in my explanation on concepts and topics. No question is left unanswered and I firmly believe in being passionate about the subject at hand to ensure students interest. Lessons are conversations that work both ways. I do not simply talk and leave a student behind while they struggle to grasp a concept. I will spend as much time as possible on a concept to ensure that they are confident in their abilities to tackle the question on their own. Lesson structure would normally contain myself explaining the concept at hand with as much detail and as many examples as possible. While not overwhelming the student. I find it most important to also ensure that students do not simply learn formulae and go from there. They will understand where formulae come from, how to use them and how to see that understanding their work can give them great joy.

Malcolm is a peer who has tutored me in Mathematics and Science and also volunteered alongside me as a primary school tutor. Malcolm is incredibly patient and gives detailed explanations of concepts that enable good understanding.
