About Adit

I graduated with my Bachelor's in Business Administration from Royal Roads University. I have 10 years of experience in teaching chess. I have been a professional contractor with Chess 'n Math organization through which I taught in different schools in Toronto. I am now based in Vancouver, BC, and conduct one-on-one sessions and group lessons online/in-person at few schools in metro Vancouver

About the lesson

I base my class depending on the level of understanding. For beginners, I start with some fun learning openings and traps that every chess player must know. When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?
I developed my interest in chess at a really young age when my uncle taught me the basics of chess. So, I decided to start learning chess professionally when I was 8 years old.
What makes you passionate about your subject?
The fact that it helps my mind relax (works like meditation) and motivates me to focus and make better decisions.
What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?
The thing I like about teaching chess is that I have this opportunity to pass on the knowledge and make the student realize their true potential. It makes me proud when students of all ages have a direct and positive impact on their lives.
Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.
My role model in chess is my tutor back home who helped me improve my game drastically in a period of short time. I follow his teaching methods to help my students improve their games.
What are your keys to success?
My key to success in chess is patience and consistency! Invest your time and focus and you will see extraordinary returns!
