About Timea
Hi there! I’m Timea, a Political Science senior at Chapman University (Honors Program, 3.84 GPA), where I serve as Senior Editor-in-Chief of the Undergraduate Law Review. I’ve had the privilege of interning on POLITICO’s editorial team in Washington, D.C., where I researched, wrote, and published pieces on policy topics and learned firsthand what it takes to craft a compelling argument under deadline.
From college application essays that got me into competitive programs, to scholarship essays that won me research funding, — I’ve written essays of all sorts and picked up skills along the way that I wish someone had taught me sooner. I know how overwhelming writing can feel, whether it’s staring at a blank page, struggling to organize your thoughts, or feeling like your ideas are strong but the words just aren’t coming out right. I want to be the person who sits down with you, makes you feel heard, and helps you realize you’re a better writer than you think. I can’t wait to meet you!

Every student writes differently, and that’s a good thing. I take the time to understand how you think, where you get stuck, and what kind of support you actually need — so every session feels personal and never generic.
What We Can Work On:
∙ College Application Essays: Brainstorming, drafting, and refining your personal statement so it sounds like you — authentic, memorable, and compelling. I’ve been through this process myself and know what stands out.
∙ Scholarship Essays: Crafting persuasive essays that highlight your strengths and tell your story in a way that wins funding — something I’ve done successfully myself.
∙ Essay Structure & Organization: Building a clear introduction, body, and conclusion that flow logically and keep your reader engaged.
∙ Thesis Development: Turning a vague idea into a strong, arguable thesis that anchors your entire paper.
∙ Research Papers: From finding credible sources to integrating evidence and constructing a persuasive argument — I’ll guide you through every step.
∙ Argumentative & Persuasive Writing: Taking a clear position and defending it with evidence, logic, and confidence.
∙ Grammar, Style & Clarity: Cleaning up awkward sentences, strengthening your word choice, and making your writing sound polished and professional.
∙ Editing & Revision: Going beyond spell-check — learning how to self-edit, tighten your arguments, and catch what you’d normally miss.
∙ AP & IB Essays: Targeted practice for timed writing, DBQs, LEQs, and any essay-based exam format.
