About Anisha
Hello! I’m Anisha Dissanayake, a dedicated tutor specialising in Maths and English. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick, I bring a strong academic background and a passion for teaching that ensures a supportive and engaging learning environment.
My educational journey has equipped me with a solid understanding of the key concepts in both subjects. I achieved top grades in my A-Levels, with a focus on subjects that require analytical thinking and effective communication skills. This foundation allows me to break down complex ideas in Maths and English into digestible parts, ensuring that my students grasp the material thoroughly.
In my previous role as a Learning Support Assistant, I worked closely with students of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs. This experience taught me how to tailor my teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles, fostering confidence and improvement in academic performance. I believe in creating personalised learning plans that not only address specific challenges but also empower students to excel.
As a tutor, I am committed to making learning enjoyable and relevant. I employ a range of interactive teaching methods, including games, problem-solving activities, and real-world applications, to keep students engaged and motivated. My goal is to inspire a love for learning and help students build strong foundations in both Maths and English.
I am looking forward to working with you to enhance your skills and confidence in these subjects.
Together, we can achieve your academic goals and make learning a rewarding experience!
