About Rafael
My method of teaching the instrument has several facets, presented in a friendly and practical way - the mapping of your instrument (which allows the student to spread through it in a free, independent and authentic way), scales, arpeggios, improvisation and solo or accompaniment arrangements, always seeking to relate elements of harmony and theory with practice, generating consistent results that generate individual expressions! All of this based on slid bibliography and methodology, used at Berkley College of Music, at Faculdade Souza Lima and in several federal and private universities (which go back to a centuries-old musical tradition, and always combined with listening and analyzing works by referenced artists, to understand and appropriate how our idols thought what they thought and did what they did!

I am a guitarist, guitarist, performer, arranger, composer and teacher. I participated in several workshops with great names of Brazilian instrumental music such as Nelson Faria and Itiberê Zwarg, I take private lessons with the producer, arranger, composer and teacher, Sérgio Benevenuto (graduated from Berkley College of Music), I attended part of the bachelor's degree in composition at the University Federal of Espírito Santo and I am currently studying the Popular Guitar Technician at the Conservatory Souza Lima, in São Paulo. I acted and act as arranger, instrumentalist and producer in several projects and also work with arrangement / interpretation for solo guitar and for voice and guitar. I also compose and I am producing my EP

Procurei as aulas do Xavier para estudar violão na pandemia. Nunca tinha estudado música antes. Nos poucos meses de aula que tivemos, ele se mostrou um professor paciente e didático, além de um músico muito habilidoso e criativo.
Na parte técnica do violão, Xavier me ensinou a tocar qualquer acorde sem depender daquelas formas prontas e transformou o violão num instrumento bem menos intimidador rs
Além disso, discutimos teoria musical, estudamos composições de artistas brasileiros maravilhosos... Minha percepção sobre música hoje é outra por causa desse professor querido!
