About Lily
I have a First Class Honours Degree in Popular Music from Falmouth University and have been teaching alongside a rich artistic career since graduating, performing at festivals and venues all round the world including shows at Union Chapel, Glastonbury Festival, Hampton Court Palace and many more alike. I released my debut record in October 2025 through Fiction Records (known for releasing The Cure, Tame Impala, Billie Marten, St Vincent etc.) where I wrote all of the songs and performed on all the recordings. "Re-Open the World" I feel is a great place to start to get an idea of the kind of musical worlds I can help guide. I have also enjoyed being a live backing guitarist and vocalist for artists such as Bastille and Greta Isaac.

I have been teaching for 8 years and strive to create an encouraging and engaging learning environment, focusing on igniting excitement about music in my students, as well as helping them build confidence with learning more generally. I pride myself in being a sensitive person to explore musical difficulties alongside or try something new with, whether that be lyric writing, singing, playing guitar or creating your own songs. I see singing, guitar and songwriting as a beautiful craft that aids self-expression, creativity and is deeply enjoyable. I love to teach in the name of sharing this wonderful world with more people! I have taught a large range of ages from 5 to 60 years old and any level of experience is welcome in my classroom.

Lily is a real artist who is full of real wonder about music. She is deeply excited to share this with others (maybe more than anyone else I've come across) and see others progress and find their stride in it. She's highly friendly and engaging as a teacher, and is especially good at building musical confidence in others. "Tailoring the lesson to the student" is an understatement: Lily is fairly obsessed about finding that "aha" moment that will make the music make sense to her students. A great teacher!
Lily is a great teacher with a unique style! She has expert knowledge of the connection between the voice and body and after our first lesson I was able to think about and experience singing in a new way that helped me to open up my voice, developing my strengths and discovering new sounds and resonances.
