About Lauren
In 2015, I earned a distinction-grade diploma in art & design at Edinburgh College. I appeared as a contestant on Sky Arts' Portrait Artist of the Year 2014 and have had a self-portrait oil painting exhibited in the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition 2021. I tutor 4-14-year-olds in English and maths and mentor high-school students through an educational charity, so have lots of experience delivering fun and engaging sessions for young people, explaining concepts and methods, and creating a relaxed learning environment. In addition, I hold a 1st-class Bachelor's degree in English studies and distinction-grade Master's in creative writing from the University of Stirling.

Perfect! Lauren is good with my son and he has learnt a lot about the techniques of drawing. He is also putting into practice the skills he has learnt so far which is great.
Perfect! My 13 year old daughter appreciated how Lauren came prepared and made the class educational, interactive and fun.
Perfect! Kind, patient and smiley. Delivers strong skills and makes teaching seem very easy. Very unflappable and nothing is a big deal. Would highly recommend Lauren.
Perfect! Lauren is amazing with my daughter. Lauren not only helped my girl with her art portfolio, but she also tutored her with English and Math to get her ready for her exams. I could see my girl's confidence grew with these subjects even after only a few lessons. I highly recommend Lauren!!!
Perfect! Well structured trial lesson, good presentation and tools. Most importantly, good fun!

Perfect! Lauren is an excellent art teacher. She prepares her lessons well and my child enjoys learning portraiture art and watercolour painting with her. I have seen a lot of improvement in my child’s work in a short period of time under Lauren’s exceptional guidance. Her lessons are structured in a fun and engaging way, and she is flexible to incorporate the topics that my daughter and I requested into the lessons. I would highly recommend Lauren and i look forward to more classes with her!

Perfect! My daughter was stuck on a piece for her N5 portfolio. Lauren was great, she gave practical advise on the steps to build up the piece whilst giving theory and most importantly giving my daughter confidence in what she was doing. Brilliant!
