About Dina
I am a native Portuguese speaker and I have 20 years of experience teaching Portuguese in London, working as a freelance and for some languages companies.
During the last years, I have developed my teaching skills in different education fields. I have experience teaching children and adults, both in Schools and in private lessons. I build lesson plans to what suits you best. Focused on Speaking Skill.
I am very patient, make classes fun and exciting. I based my classes on conversation. I stimulate conversations and debates that will help the student to travel around or to talk to a portuguese language native. Also, I teach the vocabulary, writing and learning comprehension.
I am flexible to the students’ needs and open to all ages and levels: having experience with one-to-one and group lessons; beginners, intermediate, advanced and proficiency levels, present tuition and online tuition via Skype; teaching children from the age of 2; general training and Portuguese for business purposes.
I prepare specific material for each student depending on the knowledge, the goals or their personal interests. On the other hand, if you want just improve your speaking we can work it through conversations about articles, news or other materials of your interest.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss your interest.
I am looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Are you planning to start learning Portuguese?
This is your chance to do it from home, with a native speaker!
Are you a complete beginner?
I can help you to build confidence in speaking Portuguese from scratch with personal tuition using a variety of activities including videos, role plays, card sort games, audios and conversation etc.
Do you already know Portuguese but need to refresh your skills?
During our initial lesson I will assess your current level and organize a range of engaging activities specifically selected to help you to refresh your skills and build your confidence.
Revising for exams? Planning a holiday in Portugal or Brazil? I can design a tailor-made introductory survival kit course for you.
Do you prefer tailored lessons on one-to-one basis?
The one-to-one lessons bring very fast results. The students get a whole lesson planned specifically to their own needs and it is often easier in terms of arranging regular lesson slots.
I can help you to speak Portuguese with confidence and reach fluency far sooner than you think.
I always recommend starting with a free trial lesson.
