About Mike
My name is Michal, I am a Polish-Irish chess player who has worked as a chess coach for Manojlovic Chess Club conducting instructional classes at various elementary schools around Dublin. I am a member of the chess committee of the Trinity Chess Society who has taught chess at Trinity for the Society and participated in a number of tournaments both individually as well as with the Society, such as the Leinster League or Sligo Chess Festival, and was awarded the title of 'The Player of the Year 2024/25'. I have reached the rating of 1960 online rapid and I am nearing 1600 in OTB classical chess. My playstyle consists of unorthodox openings that get your opponent out of preparation immediately while you enjoy the edge of knowing well the arising positions. If you are making your first steps in the game, I offer you my advice and expertise on how to start, progress, and eventually become a tournament-ready well-rounded chess player.
