About Hannah
I am a practising artist, specialising in oil painting and installation, creating semi-fictional worlds and focusing on the figurative and surreal.
I exhibit both in the UK and internationally, I have been awarded residencies, commissions and art awards.
I recently left my life in London to expand my creative cultural horizons and live nomadically, travelling across Europe and embarking on residencies. Between exploring and creating my own artwork, I would like to use my passion and skillset for art through tutoring.
I have taught art workshops for nearly a decade, last year I was an Assistant Lecturer/Curator at CSM and I worked several years as a TEFL teacher.

I am a friendly, patient and positive teacher. I prefer for a student's own curiosity and intuition to drive a lesson, making learning fun and exploratory. Everyone learns at their own pace, and different learning structures are needed for the different learning requirements of each individual.
I have advanced experience in drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture as well as academic essay writing. I have an array of art materials with me so I am able to demonstrate skills and techniques live to my students.
I will begin where your interest lies, exploring the skills you already have and understanding the goals you have for yourself - technical refinement? Exploring new medias? As your confidence grows I will gently push you beyond your comfort zone, I will introduce you to new artists who I think may talk to your interest and I will encourage you to create a style which is your hand, expand your creative outlook or achieve higher grades within academia, whichever is your end goal.
If you are preparing portfolios for University or Art School, I have several years of experience in assisting with this, as well as having been accepted into the top art schools in the UK based off of my portfolios and interviews. I know how to show a full range of experimentation whilst retaining creative identity within portfolios.
I am also available for assistance in art essay writing, I write alongside my artistic practice and have always achieved distinctions in my academic writing. I have experience in various standards of referencing and would be qualified to assist in GCSE, A-Level and BA level art writing.
My lessons are £30 an hour, but I fully appreciate the importance of accessibility within the arts, so would like to offer concession prices of £17 an hour to those facing financial difficulties. If you have any further questions then please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

My lessons are online only. I can provide you with a recommended material list before we begin, but how much you would like to invest in is completely up to you, I can provide lessons with the most basic materials.
Lessons booked in bulk will have a reduced rate.
If you are in financial difficulty then please reach out to me and we can work out a reduced price.
First lesson is free, these 30 minutes will be a chance for you to get comfortable with me, to explain what your goals are and where you are currently with your art practice.
