My approach changes to suit the needs of the student. If you tell me what you want to learn, I prepare a lesson to meet that need, or working through coursework and an area comes up that needs some extra attention, I use the moment to include a mini-lesson in context. I work very closely with the needs of the student.
I am happy to meet students at a central location, e.g. the local library for lessons.
