About Henry

A Schulich Scholar and PhD Student at Princeton University, I have strong academic experience with math and statistics, both of which I am comfortable teaching at a high school or undergraduate level. My area of study involves significant use of statistics and I work as a teaching assistant and researcher at the University. I have been a tutor for four years throughout university, and directed a large tutoring network for students where I was responsible for training tutors and assessing tutees.

About the lesson

I believe in example-based tutoring — I seek to provide students with stepwise explanations of topics or practice problems which give them a more thorough understanding than a simple explanation. Prior to my classes, I ask students to provide me with a brief summary of what they are struggling with so that I can arrange practice questions for them. For all of my lessons, I write personalized notes which I send to my students at the end of the class so that they can continue studying and can engage in the lesson without having to write notes themselves.

Henry was my chemistry tutor during grade 11. He was very helpful and took the time I needed to explain all the topics I was learning. Henry is an excellent tutor because he always asks for feedback so that he can teach at the right pace and he always made sure that I understood something before moving on.

I was a math student of Henry for a year. He was a great tutor because he always came prepared, with examples to show me, and sends me notes from our lessons so that I can study later. He is very knowledgable, and helped me improve my mark significantly over the course of a few months!
