About Briana
I'm a motivated pre-med student at the University of Virginia with a strong academic foundation in mathematics (including AP Calc BC and AP Statistics) and science (AP Biology & AP Chemistry). My passion for helping others and my attention to detail allow me to guide students through their learning journey with clarity and patience. I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I adapt my teaching style to meet individual needs and goals. As someone who values consistency and preparation, I make sure each lesson is thoughtfully planned and focused on building confidence as well as skill. Whether you're brushing up on basics or working through tricky concepts, I’m here to make math feel less intimidating and more accessible!

As a passionate pre-med student with a strong academic background in math and science, I offer personalized tutoring for elementary through high school students. My approach is clear, patient, and structured to build confidence in both foundational math and scientific thinking—from basic arithmetic and early calculus concepts to core science subjects like biology, chemistry, and physical science, with a special focus on algebra, precalculus, and biology.
I tailor each session to fit the student’s needs, whether it’s reviewing homework, preparing for exams, or filling in learning gaps. A typical lesson begins with a quick check-in to understand how the student is feeling about their current material, followed by step-by-step breakdowns of concepts and plenty of guided practice. I encourage questions throughout and use visual aids, real-world examples, and problem-solving strategies to make both math and science more relatable and less intimidating.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain concepts in a way that truly makes sense to each individual learner. I also bring strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset that help students stay on track, stay motivated, and feel prepared. My lessons are ideal for students who want a supportive, encouraging tutor who will meet them where they are and help them grow in both math and science.
