About Filipp
Proactive toward lifelong learning, Filipp has deep knowledge of his major. He generously shares his experience as a professional violinist as well as reveals career tips for his pupils. Right before graduation from Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory, Russia he started his orchestra career in his hometown Saint-Petersburg and has reached the Mariinsky Theater. After relocation to Canada, he took his Master's program at Wilfrid Laurier University, Kitchener, Canada, and continued his musical education as a collaborator, curator and creative performer (current).

Unlock the Secrets of the Violin with Filipp!
You will know that the violin is a unique instrument with the most expressive power, comparable to the human voice. Learning violin develops important skills which bring you to success in other aspects of your life, such as disciplining your attention, stimulating your ears, brain and muscles as well as wise planning, a creative and emotional outlet, and making a habit of achieving goals. I will guide you step by step through your new experience showing you the beauty of this instrument and share with you my passion.
I provide personalized lessons for all ages and levels. It is important to know that it is never too late to start playing violin! We will touch on Suzuki's philosophy as a basic method of mastering the violin and follow S. Fisher's fundamental principles - all in there.
The lesson is 60 min long. Our typical lesson will contain important technique aspects as well as playing for fun. We will start by warming up, paying attention to posture, checking homework exercises, playing repertoire pieces and developing it.
The first lesson is free! Each lesson after that is $45.
