About David
I am a professional actor and acting
teacher, please google me
David Corbett actor.
I studied acting at the Lee Strasberg
Institute in New York City.
I have worked as an actor for 25 years,
on stage, TV and film.
In New York, London, Los Angeles and
Amsterdam.
I have been a resident acting tutor at The
Actors Centre in London for 6 years and the Mulholland Academy in Amsterdam for 3 years.
I have developed a concise, effective way
of communicating to the actor.
Each actor requires a personal specific
way of coaching as we are all different.
I coach specifically what they must do, for
them to be truthful and believable with the
energy the scene requires.
I set a 2-page scene from a TV show or
film, or new writing. I film the actor with a
partner, if necessary, reading off camera, 3 or 4 times.
I give the actor notes, between takes.
Until we are satisfied with the recording, to submit for an audition or showreel.
I get enormous satisfaction from seeing
actors become truthful, believable and
brilliant. Knowing the thoughts of the
character and specifically what they are
doing in the scene.
I can also help to get students into the UK drama schools, as I have successful experience in this area too.

I also record on camera monologues & scenes for professional, beginning or intermediate acting showreels.
I have my own video camera, microphone and lights.
I can also teach/coach actors to enter UK drama schools.
My most recent student was accepted into Bristol Old Vic and Edinburgh theatre schools.
I have many years' experience as an actor, director and acting teacher.
