About Craig
I have a genuine love of teaching and helping people learn. Over the years, I’ve taught a wide range of subjects and worked with people of all ages and backgrounds - from teaching animation at university college level to teaching flying trapeze in circus schools around the world and even helping mature-aged people learn to play the Wii as part of their rehabilitation. Watching my students grow in confidence and certainty is the fuel for my teaching.
These experiences have taught me that everyone learns differently. I enjoy finding ways to make learning engaging, practical and enjoyable, while creating an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence.
I bring that same enthusiasm and personal approach to my animation lessons, tailoring them to each student and helping them develop the confidence to bring their imaginations to life.

My approach is relaxed, practical and completely tailored to you. My experience spans animation, illustration and visual storytelling, so we can take your learning in whatever direction interests you.
I teach across a range of creative software including Blender, Maya, Mudbox, Photoshop, Krita and After Effects. We can focus deeply on one program, or combine several depending on what you’re trying to achieve.
As a professional gallery artist with 20 years of experience, I also bring a strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition and developing ideas. Whether you’re learning the basics, developing your artistic skills or working towards a specific project, I’ll shape the lessons around what you want to achieve and help you find your own creative voice.
Lessons are typically 2 hours long, although I can adapt the length to suit you and your project.

Craig is very patient and easy to talk to. I was not very confident speaking English and was worried about making mistakes. He never made me feel bad when I got something wrong and gave me time to speak. I feel more confident now and I really recommend him.
I’d smooth the wording and remove the repetition around “calm/calm(ed)”:
