About Cathy
I am a cello performer from China. I began my musical journey at the age of five with piano, before switching to the cello later on. I have extensive performing experience, particularly within symphony orchestras and chamber music ensembles, alongside regular solo appearances. I am the recipient of multiple music competition awards earned in China. I completed more than seven years of rigorous professional training at the China Conservatory of Music. Currently, I am pursuing a Research Master’s degree at the University of Auckland. With over five years of cello teaching experience, I have mentored a wide range of learners, and several of my previous students in China have also won prizes at cello competitions.
