About Andrew
I started as a professional photographer in 2022 after leaving a 22-year career as a software engineer. I switched because I found I wanted to do something less stressful, more creative, and more connected with other people. Since then, I've explored many different areas in photography, ultimately landing on weddings, events, portraits, and boudoir photography as my specialization. I now work with hundreds of clients each year, and my photos have been published internationally in magazines like Looker, Malvie, Untold Stories, and Untamed.

I can help you advance to the next level in your photography journey, no matter where you are at the moment. I'm here for you no matter whether that takes the form of clever metaphors to help you build an automatic mental model of the exposure triangle, gentle critique on the composition of your photos, or help in breaking down the exact studio lighting setup to reproduce a certain effect.
I routinely get feedback from my students that I'm excellent at making complex technical subjects feel accessible, and creating a safe, welcoming environment where every question feels welcome. I'd love to meet you and help you on to the next step on wherever your photography journey seems to be taking you right now.
In addition to meeting you in your own space, I'm happy to meet you at my studio where we can work on studio lighting technique, or at John Derry Park where we can do an interactive photo walk to work on practical skills.
