About Davies
My saxophone lessons are designed to be engaging, motivational, and focused on both technical skill and creative expression. I understand that each student learns differently, and I tailor my lessons to meet the unique needs of each individual. Whether a student is a beginner or an experienced player looking to refine their technique, I emphasize building a solid foundation in breath control, tone production, and finger technique. These essential skills serve as the groundwork for more advanced concepts such as phrasing, articulation, and musical dynamics. I believe in fostering creativity alongside technique, so I incorporate improvisation, ear training, and musical expression into each lesson. Through these exercises, students learn to connect with the music they play, explore their own style, and develop a deeper appreciation for the art of saxophone playing. I also use real songs to keep lessons relevant and engaging, allowing students to see how their technical skills apply to actual music. My teaching style is interactive and hands-on, with an emphasis on consistent practice and gradual progress. I offer clear guidance and constructive feedback, ensuring that students have the support they need to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Whether a student is preparing for an exam or simply enjoying the process of learning an instrument, my lessons are designed to inspire and support their musical journey.

Learning the saxophone can be a transformative experience, and I am committed to making that journey as enjoyable and rewarding as possible for my students. With a degree in music and years of teaching experience, I specialize in providing personalized saxophone lessons that cater to each student’s unique musical aspirations. My teaching style is based on building a strong technical foundation with essential skills like breath control, posture, and finger technique. However, I also believe that it’s crucial to foster creativity and self-expression, so I encourage my students to connect with the music they’re playing. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, I integrate improvisation, rhythm practice, and musical interpretation into every lesson to help you develop your own voice as a musician. I use a variety of resources, such as play-along tracks, real songs, and performance tips, to keep lessons fresh and exciting. Each lesson is designed to be interactive and fun, with the ultimate goal of helping students build confidence, improve their technical ability, and deepen their love of music. Whether you’re preparing for a recital, working towards an exam, or simply playing for the joy of it, my lessons are tailored to meet your goals and ensure steady progress on your musical journey.
