About Nicola
I am a Glasgow-based screenwriter and filmmaker known for creating and directing emotionally and comedically rich short films that centre authentic, underrepresented voices.
My entrance to screenwriting came through passion and desire to bring my stories to life, what I lack in formal training I make up for in coaching from some of Scotland's best screenwriters and practice with my own work.
My work includes writing and directing the drama Authentic, a character-driven short exploring love, family and LGBTQIA+ themes, and directing shorts such as By Now and the BBC Short Stuff sketch Good Girls: Death Drop Demon.

Nicola is an excellent acting tutor. She really understands the nuances of a script and will guide you to understand the nuances on your own without any judgement or pressure. I had my first lesson with her today and she is adept at making one feel very comfortable and completely at ease. I had no experience at all in any acting capacity and As such Nicola tailored the class to accommodate my lack of experience. I found the class engaging and fun and I am happy to book more lessons with her.
Nicola is an amazing tutor and an incredible actor! I worked with her in a production of Grease and not only did she help me in my own performance to enhance my character, she showed the many different methods of acting that she can do. A delightful person and an excellent teacher - you’ll learn a lot from her, 100% recommend!
I worked with Nicola for 5 months, touring Italy and performing English shows, alongside teaching English workshops to children within schools.
Nicola is extremely fun and energetic, with a real passion for acting and the theatre. Her level of enthusiasm is infectious and I would certainly recommend her for anybody searching for a fun, trust worthy, passionate tutor with a real knowledge for the subject.Excellent tutor, would definitely recommend
