About Jay
I am a passionate and committed Accounting teacher with a strong interest in helping learners understand Accounting in a practical and meaningful way. I believe Accounting is a life skill, not just a school subject, and my aim is to help learners build confidence, accuracy, and clear thinking.
My interest in teaching comes from seeing the difference that proper guidance and explanation can make. Many learners struggle not because they are incapable, but because concepts were not explained clearly from the start. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into simple steps and watching learners grow in confidence and results.
I am patient, supportive, and results-focused. I create a safe learning environment where learners can ask questions freely, make mistakes, and improve without pressure. Helping learners achieve their academic goals — especially when they begin to believe in themselves — is what motivates me most as a teacher.

My Accounting lessons are structured, supportive, and focused on real understanding — not just memorising. I help learners clearly understand core concepts such as bookkeeping, financial statements, cost accounting, analysis, and exam techniques.
Lessons are tailored to the learner’s level and pace, with step-by-step explanations, worked examples, and plenty of practice questions. I focus strongly on exam preparation, problem-solving skills, and building confidence so learners can approach tests and exams with clarity.
I offer support for Grades 10–12 (including Matric) and adapt lessons to CAPS requirements. Whether a learner is struggling, aiming to improve marks, or wanting to strengthen their foundation, my goal is consistent improvement and measurable results.
Lessons are available online, making them flexible and convenient.
