About Ruby
I have over 8 years of experience as a violin tutor and hold a Bachelor of Science in Orchestral Studies, serving as a Violin Section Leader during my training. My approach combines orchestral strength with modern versatility. Technique supports artistry.
I use slow-down apps to break complex passages into manageable sections. DAWs and MIDI notation tools allow us to analyze rhythm and pitch with accuracy. Video feedback adds another layer of insight.
This method is ideal for students interested in recording violin parts for their own songs. We focus on clean sound, layered textures, and expressive detail. Recording reveals growth.
I am especially passionate about Jazz Violin, Rock Strings, and Indie Folk styles. Improvisation skills are developed through guided practice and personalized backing tracks. Creativity is encouraged.
Lessons are structured but exciting. The violin belongs in every genre. Let’s build your skills and start recording your own music with confidence.

I teach violin through a balance of practical technique and applied music theory. Every technical exercise has a clear musical reason behind it. Purpose matters.
Keys and scales are studied directly on the instrument, not only on paper. Students learn to see intervals across the strings. Theory becomes hands-on.
We explore chord structures and harmonic movement within repertoire. Double stops and arpeggios are explained through chord theory. Understanding replaces guesswork.
This approach helps ensemble musicians stay in tune and confident in group settings. Strong theory supports strong listening.
For exam preparation, lessons include organized scale routines, sight-reading drills, and aural development. Each goal is clearly outlined.
You will gain both skill and insight. Together we will build a stronger and more knowledgeable violin foundation.
