About João
He began his musical studies in 2009 at Orfeão de Ovar. In 2014 he joined the Conservatório de Música do Porto, in 2017 he joined the University of Aveiro in the Direction, Theory and Music Training course. In the year of 2018 he entered the University of Minho in the Flute Transversal course. Awarded in several courses such as Ofer Orfeão Internal Competition, "Ovar has talent", "Flautamente" and Internal Competition of the Conservatory of Music of Oporto. He has worked with several maestros such as Fernando Marinho, Filipe Fonseca, Rafa Agulló Albors, Sérgio Ventura, Bruno Pereira and also with the illustrious composer David Maslanka. He attended several masterclasses with internationally renowned flute players such as Stephanie Wagner, Aldo Baerten, Claudi Arimany, Jean Lois Beaumadier, Wendela Van Swol, Nuno Inácio, Paulo Barros, Ana Maria Ribeiro, Gil Magalhães, etc. Since 2015 he is a professor of the Sociedade Musical Boa União.

My teaching method is adapted according to the student's age and grade. I have working methods for children from 3 years old to any age! The methods help the students to develop abilities in the area of music such as solfege, rhythm, mensural notation, chords, intervals, etc.

Porque diz o que fiz mal e ajuda-me a melhorar de uma forma que entenda , que aprenda facilmente.
João é um ótimo professor, ensina-nos técnicas e dá-nos as ferramentas que nos possibilitam o progresso no instrumento, nomeadamente, na flauta transversal. Devo ainda salientar que é um professor com o máximo de empenho possível em ajudar os alunos, incentivando-os a serem cada vez melhores e entusiasmando-os no estudo regular do instrumento.
