About El
I am a graduate of Oberlin College in Psychology and East Asian Studies. While in college, I took classes in a wide range of fields, including writing, history, religion, and literature, all experiences which I bring to my tutoring.
My tutoring experience consists primarily of teaching English to a wide age range during my time studying abroad in Japan. This included public speaking classes and English as a second language tutoring.

- I teach English/writing essays, poetry, creative fiction, and creative nonfiction.
- My primary experiences are with grammar and structural tutoring for essays and teaching English as a second language.
- I emphasize individualized learning plans and integration of different subjects.
- The most important thing for ensuring that students learn is finding what can interest them about the subject, so I emphasize looking for the method that works for each person, whether that's practice through journaling, writing stories, or themed essays.
