About Luke
I am a 3rd year student of Psychology at the University of Liverpool with a passion for understanding the workings of the mind. In the past, I have written articles for online blogs and magazines around different topics within Psychology.
My tutoring experience comes from volunteering to teach young adults how to speak English, starting methodically from the very basics and working up to a level where they can have a conversation. I have found tutoring to be very rewarding so far.

My methods of teaching will depend highly on the person I am tutoring. Firstly, it is important for me to understand what level of knowledge you have, what topics take your interest and what level you would like to achieve.
I shall start with the basics, making sure the student has a sufficient knowledge of the terminology before proceeding. The ultimate aim will be to reach a level where they can happily continue their own research of the subject independently if they so wish.
Once this is achieved, I shall explain the areas of interest to the student in a way that is both engaging and challenging, presenting the core theories as well as arguments against them, so that the student can eventually reach a point of being able to critically evaluate particular studies themselves. There will be room for debate and discussion which I hope will encourage thought around the subject.
For those who wish to reach an advanced level, I shall also teach methods of creating studies and essays of a high quality.
As mentioned previously, the methods I use are flexible and can be altered to best fit your style of learning.
