About Elisabeth

I'm a lifelong learner with a passion for helping students to become confident, capable communicators. Over the past 17 years, I’ve taught writing and literature at the college, high school, and middle school levels, working with a wide range of learners and teaching a wide array of classes -- from reading and writing intervention, to honors ELA, to remedial writing for struggling undergraduate students, to dissertation work at the graduate level. My background includes curriculum design, reading intervention, and dissertation editing, and I specialize in making complex skills accessible and meaningful. I believe that with the right support, every student can improve their skills, find their voice, and excel in their writing abilities!

With 17 years of experience teaching writing and literature at the middle school, high school, undergraduate and graduate levels, my approach is:
• Personalized – Every session is tailored to the student’s goals, pace, and learning style.
• Supportive – I create a positive, encouraging space that builds confidence and skill.
• Professional – High-level academic coaching, including college essays and dissertations.

Services include:
• Support for Academic Writing Skill development (essays, research papers, literary analysis)
• Reading support and intervention
• Application and scholarship essay coaching
• Dissertation editing and graduate-level writing guidance

I work well with all learners—including those who are reluctant, neurodiverse, or simply overwhelmed—and I believe every student can grow with the right support.
